Dog training at Compass K9 Academy is designed to help dogs and their owners build clear communication, confidence, and lasting success in everyday life.
Puppy Training & Foundations
Designed for dogs under 6 months (or young beginners), this program focuses on building the essential foundation every puppy needs for lifelong success. Training includes potty training guidance, crate training, leash introduction, early socialization, basic obedience, and confidence-building exercises in a structured and positive environment. The goal is to prevent common behavior issues early and create a strong communication system between puppy and owner.
Alongside structured learning, puppies are exposed to new environments, sounds, people, and other dogs to help them grow into well-adjusted and resilient adults. Our goal is to prevent common behavior issues before they start while building a strong communication system between puppy and owner that supports lifelong success.
Basic Obedience & Manners
This program is ideal for adolescent and adult dogs who need structure, consistency, or a refresher in essential skills. Training focuses on sit, down, stay, recall, loose leash walking, impulse control, and everyday manners both in the home and in public. Dogs learn to respond reliably to commands while building confidence and focus in real-world environments.

We didn’t plan on getting a dog… and then life said, “surprise!”….enter our four-legged love missile who came with reactivity, resource guarding, endless energy, and a personality that could outmatch us on our best day 😅
It didn’t take long to realize… we were in WAY over our heads.
After talking to what felt like every option out there, we found our way to The Wagging Tail 603, and honestly, it’s the best decision we could have made for both our dog and our sanity.
We walked in unsure, hesitant, and fully expecting to be judged (because… if you met our dog, you’d get it). Instead, we were met with patience, understanding, and next-level communication. Andy, Rachel, and the entire team took the time to truly get our dog and our family. They didn’t just hand us a generic plan, they built a training program tailored specifically to our chaos and our goals.
And let me just say, this is NOT your average doggy daycare. The level of intention, knowledge, and professionalism here is unmatched. Every interaction, every step, every adjustment is purposeful.
The result? Our dog has done a full 180. he’s learning, growing, and most importantly, we now have the tools and confidence to support him.
What really sets them apart is how much they support, us, as owners. This isn’t a drop-your-dog-off-and-hope-for-the-best situation, they guide you through the entire process so the progress actually sticks at home.

The Wagging Tail 603 isn’t your typical dog daycare and that’s exactly why we love it.
My dog does not thrive in the “throw everyone in a room together” kind of environment. She used to be more of the “watch and monitor” type… the dog that would hang back and observe all the pups instead of jumping in to play. So finding a place that actually meets her where she’s at was a total game changer.
They really take the time to understand what your dog needs and work with you, and it shows. Since coming here, my dog is noticeably more confident… and now she actually loves running around and playing with her friends!!!
On top of that, they send pictures, do fun little events, and the staff is genuinely kind! You can just tell they truly love the dogs and treat them like family.
We also signed up for their training programs so she could eventually join the adventure camps, and I’m SO glad we did.
If you’re looking for a daycare that will care for your dog like you do (and not treat them like a number), do yourself a favor and check out The Wagging Tail 603.

We have been taking our dog, Winston, to Wagging Tail 603 for only two weeks (five days of camp plus) and we have already noticed positive changes in his behavior. He is more attentive to our cues, listens better, and frequently “checks in” even just when hanging around the house. Racheal and her staff are incredible! We have already signed him up for boot camp starting in February and we are really looking forward to getting him off-leash trained. We highly recommend Racheal and her team at Wagging Tail 603!

If you want the absolute BEST for your pup/dog, The Wagging Tail 603 is it!!! I can't say enough great things about the people that work there and the caring, guided, and exceptional experience they provide for my pup. We were overwhelmed with our puppy when he was young. He came with all the bad habits you could possibly imagine. Upon visiting TWT for a consult, Rachael and her team assured me that they would give our pup the necessary tools he needs to grow into a well-mannered dog. They were spot on, and the work they put in speaks for itself. We couldn't be happier with the entire team at TWT. The care they provide for our pup, both in training classes, and boarding, gives us peace of mind that he is great hands and is being taken care of with kind discipline and grace. Our pup's favorite part of the day is when we pull into TWT parking lot :). If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you want the very best for your pup/dog, this is the place!!!

I am so grateful for the Wagging Tail 603. We started here from a neighbor ‘s recommendation for dog training which was one of the best things we could have ever done. A well behaved dog is worth every penny! Because we were so happy with his training and were currently looking for a daycare that we could trust, we went all in and have been here for almost 4 years now.
Having tried several doggy day cares in the areas prior, I can STRONGLY say that The Wagging Tail 603 has the most attentive staff and is by far the most safe and hygienic doggy day care in the seacoast of NH. I love how every day my lil furbabe goes to day camp, we get pictures and updates of his day. Love that!! Also available are opportunities to upgrade to dog adventures and then during the holidays, they make it extra special by having activities for you and your furbabes to participate.
They truly care about your pups and having that trust is everything. Thank you The Wagging Tail 603 for being such a great part of our lives - you make our lives so much easier knowing that our lil man is well taken care of during our work days. We appreciate Rachel & the Team so much - you are the best of the best!!✨

WT603 is amazing! Our pup is reactive and is scared around other dogs. She needed individual daycare and training. Since going to WT603, her confidence has grown so much! She has learned a lot from their Day Camp Plus Program. Now we can take her on walks without fear of seeing other dogs. She gets plenty of exercise, training, playtime, and LOVES the staff. The staff are great with communication and so friendly!
